Who are Periodontists & what do they do?

Periodontists are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and can help you keep your teeth for life. A periodontist is a dental specialist who is an expert in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gum and bone that are caused by bacteria. In addition, Periodontists treat gum recession and place dental implants. Approximately 75 percent of all Americans have some form of periodontal disease, known by many as gum disease. If left untreated, these usually painless diseases can result in tooth loss.

  Your first visit is important:

The first visit is an opportunity for you to learn about us, and for us to become more familiar with you and your needs. We will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, mouth and gums. After the examination, you will be fully informed of our findings and recommended treatment options. There will be adequate time available for you to ask questions. We strive to keep you informed every step of the way.

  Goals of our practice:

The goal of our practice is to provide state-of-the-art periodontal therapy in a comfortable, safe and caring environment. We believe that communication is the cornerstone of a successful relationship. We are unconditionally committed to excellence in everything we do. We understand that each patient is an individual with physical, emotional and financial requirements. We are committed to listen to our patients and design a treatment plan for each individual patient according to their requirements. Our goal is to educate our patients and explain advantages, disadvantages, costs and time requirements for each periodontal treatment. We encourage our patients to actively participate in decision making for their treatment.
